Car won't lock

Ever since I got my car the remote has never worked. So I have to manually lock it. Occasionally, the driver door will lock, but none of the other doors will. How do I go about diagnosing such an issue?

In my opinion this is a Dealer issue, they need to query the anti theft computer under the driver's seat. Something is not set properly like a window or door handle. You can search for a list of all the things that are checked before the lock will engage and sort it manually but it. It might still end up being a dealer thing, they are the only ones that can access that part of the system.

I agree, I would make every attempt to make sure your remote works on a consistent basis. replace the battery. clean the contacts. At places such as oreilly there is a sensor with a light at the battery center. Hit your remote while standing there to see that it is emitting a signal every time

I've had the car since 2013. The remote has never worked. The led lights when you press the button, but does not operate the locks or alarm. I have tried every fix that's posted here. No dice.
