They are awesome to deal with. I just got some suspension pieces from them and they were shipped fast and perfect. Would buy from them again in a heart beat.

Yes, sir... So far I have bought a 996 instrument cluster, a 996 leather cluster surround, leather door panels, and an '03 Bose rear speaker shelf from them. Every item was better than listed. Fast shipping. And, extremely fair prices. They have accepted some of my "Best Offer" bids that I was very surprised at.

They have an 996 instrument cluster in silver (white) listed right now. These are rare and fit in 2001 to 2004 Boxsters. This one is out of a cab with PSM option. It is literally a plug and play unit after changing out the oil sender unit and running the wires to the cluster. It has a broken stem that would need to be repaired but there are instructions out there on how to repair it. If I didn't have one I would be all over this one for $225.

+1 for these guys. I've bought several wheels and other bits and pieces from them for a couple of my Boxsters. They've always taken my Best Offer, and I have the parts sitting on my door in just a couple of days.

I'd be all over that cluster too, except it is sold. Exactly what I have been looking for for over a year, and at a good price. Some early riser must have beat me to it...

Got it!

Thanks! I've bought numerous things from this seller as well - always pleased. I've been watching for one of these from them for the past several weeks to replace mine as the left blinker doesn't automatically turn off....

Thanks again!

Btw, I don't post much but I leverage this forum's collective experience a lot. I just replaced my rear brakes and rotors on my '98 base a couple of days ago using previous pics from the forum as well as Wayne's 101 book. It took no time at all and was a breeze.... Gotta get that front suspension replaced now.... after replacing the clock spring and 4-stalk of course!

How can one tell if a 996 cluster will work in a 2004 986? I really want to put one in but I have not been able to tell which 996 cluster would work.

For your '04 you want a cluster out of a 2002, 2003 or 2004 996 Carrera 2, not a turbo and not a 4S. In order not to deal with reprogramming the cluster find one out of a cab. And, if you have PSM find one out of a '02 to '04 996 cab with PSM.

What I like about buying from this eBay seller is he shows you the VIN the car came out of and photos of the cluster with the lights on. There are so many defective units out there it is risky to buy these from untested sellers.

Also, while looking for a 996 cluster for my Boxster I found a lot of black face ones but few white (or more correctly, aluminum) face ones. I did some digging and found that for 2003 & 2004 the aluminum face gauges were an $855 option - X71.

Once I had the cluster I sent it to ODO-PRO.COM - Odo-Pro.com - The Digital Odometer Professionals to have the mileage reset to my Boxster's. Great service and for only $90.

On a 2004 he can use the Boxster circuit board without any issues. Will retain his mileage and vin # which is important as the radio reads the vin # so you never have to put in a radio code when disconnecting the battery. Also the volt meter should work right off the bat and he would only need to change the oil pressure sending unit and run a wire to the cluster for that to work.
