I sold my 88 944S and bought a 99 986 Tip. The 944 had a lot of track mods and was a fun car to drive but. I dont have any sentimental attachments to cars. Gone and replace with another. I like the Boxster much more. Cayman is next.

If my 944 was as nice as that I would keep it but its not and its redundant with my 986 and my 951 track rat. So it must go...

You only live once, so go with your gut and do what you think you will enjoy the most. It's all good to have memories, but sometimes it's fun to go out and make some new ones!

Honestly not sure. It's a weird market, 80's poster cars are hot, and dealers are testing the waters with pristine 944 turbos in the 20-40k range. Historically the nicest 944 NA's have brought 10-12k tops for an S or S2.

Is yours an S or S2? Your right though, 80's cars are getting hot right now.

Yeah it would be pretty foolish to sell a NA 944 in that good a shape.

The only downside is that you now have two Porsches that you can't really beat on.
But some would love to have that problem.

I remember back in the late 80's early 90's the 944 got no respect.
But I always secretly preferred the styling of the 944 over the Carrera.

So last summer I sold it to a nice guy in Dallas. That Mustang is the longest relationship I've had in my life. I haven't missed it since I have 2 Porsches taking up my time.

I ran it thru Mecum in KC, but it went to the Bid Goes On.

I was Pvt in the Army when this car came out. I used to drool over this car.
