Another LED headlight thread.

I by no means want to beat a dead horse, and as soon as I can sort out more important issues with the Boxster, I will be getting a set of Nine8sixs wonderful headlights. That being said, I came across these on EBay today. Anyone want to offer up any opinions?

I believe 6000K is more than "a hint of blue".

Comparison of 4300K, 6000K and 8000K lamps.

Of course, you can't tell what the camera has done to the color balance, but you get a relative idea. 6000K looks pretty blue to me.

These really don't work well without optics specifically designed for them.
The pattern and intensity would not be good.

Also, I doubt they'd fit inside the housing (rear portion is very large).

What ParticleWave said

When I first saw these over a year ago I got a little excited by them, the more I researched the less I liked them. If they were all they were cracked up to be you would see them everywhere....but I have yet to actually talk to anyone who really had these....stick with good quality HID with proper projectors

I figured as much. These seemed to be a bit different than the others, so I figured I would ask.
