How much Lubricant

When re booting a CV joint, how much lube do you apply after you clean it up and virtually none of the original remains ?

I am in the process and getting ready to reassemble my first axle and cannot seem to find a clear answer on this ?

as much as you can fit into the boot. with the boot full of grease, there is no room for water or dirt to get into the bearing.
