Probably a good deal, but not "Too good to be true". Hood looks like it's grey, spoiler is up, probably not functioning, No pics of leather, but say's it's torn, clamshell is a bit off. Nice price for the miles if the engine and transmission are good, but clearly needs some TLC. Could be a great choice as a DD for a DIYer.

The clamshell usually sits like that when there's an aftermarket (glass) top on it.
Headlights look to be tinted as well. :barf:

Nowhere close to "To good to be true"

I purchase a 2 owner 1998 base with 117K miles for $4,800....in 2011.

Also purchased another 1998 base (again 2 owner) in for $4,600...in 2012.

Both clear title cars, both dirty as hell and in need of bringing basic maintenance up to date. Both cars still on the road locally as I sold to folks I know.

My price point is now $3.5-$4K for a decent 98 or 99.

Great cars BTW!

Wow, so many thoughts about that beauty! I wonder how it runs with the rear fender extensions that cover the side vents. And something looks funky about the front side marker lights, they don't look like they extend all the way back to the wheel opening line.

This 2015 Boxster GTS has me scratching my head. Only 1 picture, no information on options, and what seems like a very high asking price. Is a GTS automatically an "S" with 3.4 liter, 6 speed and bigger brakes? It looks like it has a dual tailpipe and yellow calipers which could mean PCCB. But if you're seriously selling this car, you need a lot more information and pictures IMHO.

It needs wheel spacers and maybe different wheels, but I like the paint. I'd buy it for that price if the drivetrain checked out.

To me it looks like it was either not finished or has had a few key parts stripped off. Is that the actual TechArt widebody sides? :

If I was looking, I'd buy it, then:
-Lip or replace the bumper.
-Proper wheels to fit the fenders
-Get one of Eric523's tops
-Replace the funky rear spoiler.

IMHO very likely a good deal, lots of potential. I think that Redtele58 (Rick) should get it.

Stick a hardtop on it, get some better wheels and an OEM aero spoiler and it would be kinda slick.

But yeah... I have enough projects going on right now...

Someone want a cheap 1999 996? Here is one for you, you will definitely need new seats!

Ok here's one for you... another 99 Boxster S.

Porsche Boxster

I texted the owner, nicely to say that they might want to edit their ad as there car is not an S and a more accurate description might help them with their same.

They thanked me then told me that is was an S...and text me a picture of the S on the trunk!

So I'd recommend someone buy this very rare 1999 Boxster S with 5 speed transmission, no center radiator and 4 spoke steering wheel.

You should ask him if he has paperwork documenting the engine swap to 3.2.

I agree. A little honesty and a slight price drop and it may sell..

Compared to Tip + 6 spd, I guess 5 spd is the rarest. lol
