Question Routine Maintenance

My 2002 boxster is just about 1 year old. With about 6k miles on it, its got a way to go before the first scheduled maintenance and oil change - any recommendations on what i should do at this point?....does the car have a "break in" oil in it that I should leave in until 15k miles, or is it okay to change it now?

Any other thoughts?

thanks.

I'd go ahead and do the oil/filter now. Porsche recommends annual maintenance for cars with low mileage (based on miles, looks like you fit that category for a 1yr old car). I do mine annually even with only going ~5K miles/year. Cheap insurance, even cheaper if you do it yourself...
