Speaker upgrade. Question

I picked up some Polk Audio speakers and am am replacing the dash speakers. I'm to the soldering step. Which wire is positive? Green or black?

did you make an adapter plate or cut up the factory speakers and use them as a mounting plate?

I did the same thing

Same speakers, the cones had actually disintegrated to the point they were only supported by the voice coil. I cut my worthless old speakers and made mounts for them....sounded so much better

I ordered a second set of speakers as one of my grills was cracked so I used the worst set of cones to build the mounting plate.

completed the install. Sounds great! Those Polk Audio speakers really sound good compared to stock.

Next phase is the radio upgrade.
