what is this button??

What is the button two under the PSM? Users manual says its the lights for the footwell. It doesn't seem to do anything while the top is up. 03 boxster S. Maybe it's for the flux capacitor? Lol.

That's a 996 targa roof switch.
Possibly a previous owner installed it?
They're usually used to control a garage door opener, because the switch graphics sort of resemble a lowered/raised garage door.
The flux capacitor is under the passenger seat and needs no driver intervention.

I'm pretty certain that is an automatic macrame rear sun visor.

I would bet that it was installed for a garage door opener too. It is pretty easy to pop the piece off and follow the wires. If done correctly you can hook it up to light up too.
