Plugs

Where they still working when you pulled them ??????? I don't see how.

Jamesp 02-10-2015 02:24 PM

About $325 for stock from the dealer or $169 knock offs. How lucky do you feel? The knock offs may be fine, likely not better, but who knows. If you decide on the knock offs please post what you end up with. It's not high tech, the worst is your out $169 and have to replace them with the real deal.

NewArt 02-10-2015 02:30 PM

What's the problem here? Good for another 60k I'm sure.

thstone 02-10-2015 02:52 PM

Its only a surface issue. Light sanding and a coat of black from the can and you'll be good to go!

Clearly, no one has changed the pugs in a long, long, long time.

Yep, put them back on the car until I get replacements.

Think I'm going to go with the $169 set.

Great idea!

Not sure how long it's been. I got the car with 99k miles on it, changed them at 116K. The plugs I pulled out where the Beru Ultra 14FGR-6KQU 4 prong type plug. I replaced them with Bosch 7413 FGR6KQE 4 prong type plugs.

KRAM36 02-10-2015 03:26 PM

Here is what the old plugs looked like.

KRAM36 02-13-2015 07:58 PM

Little over 116k miles at spark plug change.

Picked up a used set of coils off eBay, 44k miles on them. They are in perfect condition from the pics. $65 shipped. :)

I was going to go that route, but found this for $100 less. 116k miles on my motor, these used coils may outlast the motor lol.
