Brake Fluid Change

Hi guys,

I recently did a brake fluid change on my sister's BMW. The fluid was about 2 years old. I really had a hard time telling when the old fluid had been pushed out because the color didn't drastically change. The old fluid was slightly yellow, and the new is almost clear. I couldn't tell when it changed from yellow to clear. I did it four times on four wheels and still wasn't 100% sure that all the old fluid had been replaced. I think blue brake fluid is not allowed on the market anymore, so anyone has any tips for me? I'm about to do it on my Boxster.

I had the same problem, it was really hard to tell when the old fluid was out
I found a post somewhere where it listed the volume in the lines, don't remember where
IIRC, it was around 6 oz for each rear and 4 oz for the fronts each
I based my flush on volume.

maybe someone can chime in on this

Alternate gold with clear. As you can see, the gold (right) is very yellow.

Or go racing for a year, then the gold turns brown (left).
