I have been eyeing those for a while. Can you post pics of them on during the day and at night from different angles? That would be great!

Here's some at night There is some light that is directed backwards toward the front wheels. You can see that in all three pics, I think it looks cool.

OK, you pushed me over the edge. I've been thinking about doing this - minimalist amberectomy - for a long time. Just ordered a set (of OEM Hellas) and I'm now on the slippery slope. Thanks, I think.

Ha, well done! Are those Hellas LED or standard filament bulb?

Just ordered - thx for posting this. I never cared for the clear side marker lights on my car, as they're (IMO) too dark. These look sweet. Thx again.

I had looked at those in the past but the description says they stick out farther than OEM due the LED heat sink design. Does it stick out a lot and is it noticeably so?

Yeah, good eye. So yes, it certainly does "stick out" more than the OEM. That being said, I am totally cool with how the new sidemarkers protrude because they do so in a stylish way is pleasing to the eye and doesn't look aftermarket; especially when viewed from standard eye level height, it kind of rolls along with the lines of the car IMO. Depending on the viewing angle it's more noticeable. The last picture was taken laying on the ground looking up, and that's the ugliest I think. If OEM was designed the exact same I'd be happy with those too, each of these shots were finding the most exaggerated viewing angle to show where/how it protrudes.

Scott, the ones I ordered are the ones Porsche put on the 2003-4 Boxsters, so incandescent filaments, AFAIK . I do like the look of the LED ones pictured above better, but not twice as much better (which is the price difference).

Thanks for the great pictures! I guess I have another item to add to my list. I have never been thrilled with the "clear" side markers that I have. They are more smoked than clear. I like the look of these and the protrusion looks fine. That statement about the protrusion scared me off when I saw them some time ago and now I wish I had taken a chance on them. Oh well.

Hi, I bought the Depo tail lights including the side markers. My question is how did you connect the side marker to the connector from the car? The connectors are totally different and they don't match. I have a 2000 Boxster base.
Any help is much appreciated as I want my car looking great.
 Thanks!

You just pull the light bulb out of your old socket and plug the led harness into were the bulb goes. Put the socket back in to seal it up from moisture.

I did the Depo smoked side markers and smoked tails this weekend. When working on the side markers I did the same thing verdugousa did at first. Completely removed the bulb holder and thought to myself "how the hell do these go together?" Then I pulled the bulb out and it made sense.

FYI - anything other than amber up front is illegal and will get you pulled over very quickly.
