Help needed audi AZB swap in Boxster 2.5

Hello,

for the past few weeks I have been looking around for information about the audi V8 engine in the porsche boxster.
The reason for the Audi AZB 4.2 V8 engine because its not that heavy and it only sells for 800 euro or less with 100.000km or less on it.

This makes it:

1. 7 times as cheap as LS engine
2. More than 10 times as cheap as 911 3.4 engine
3. Cheaper to maintain, and easier with parts.

And its reliable (and most older porsche engines are not)

I found out that the 5-speed 012 gearbox matches the AZB engine, also clutch choice won't be that hard.
With the matching gearbox and engine I can also keep the original driveshafts (till i have enough money to get them custom made).

When I search on google/youtube I get pictures and videos about the engine in the boxster, but there is no build log whats-o-ever.

Does anyone has the required links for me?

1. What engine mounts do I need?
2. Will the cross bar (or whatever its called, it is under the engine and holds it up) fit the V8 or do i need a custom one? and where to get it.
3. How about the fuel pump and lines?
4. How about the ECU (i have read I can keep original V8) but how about the gauges and sensors?
5. What am I missing?

All things that aren't documented by anyone that did the swap.

I wonder if anyone can help me over here, point me in the right direction.

For tuning the AZB engine I'll ask on the audi forum, first part is getting the engine in the car without problems.

Thanks

Welcome to the 986forum. There's actually another thread going on right now with this swap in mind.
