Interesting; how does it work ? Does it come on upon start up, do you reset it between drives ? Curious as to how much attention a unit like this requires....:)

I have it hardwired so that it turns on and off with the car. It records to the 32 gb micro sd card. It is on a loop and will record over itself. Depending on the size of the sd card and the setting you have set up for the camera, you can get from eight to thirty hours before it records over itself.

I pull it out every couple of weeks to ensure it is working and format the sd card just as a maintenance measure.

Thanks. No tattoos... just a custom armrest that gives you more storage space.

I have bought all of mine for eBay seller dream-seller. They are located in South Korea where the cameras are manufactured. Very quick shipping a good prices.

If I were to buy a new one, this is the one I would buy.

BlackVue DR600GW Full HD GPS Wi Fi Black 16GB Blackbox Dashcam | eBay

Amazon is selling the same camera for $15 less.

Amazon.com : BlackVue New DR600GW-HD 16GB, Car Black Box/Car DVR Recorder, Built-in Wi-Fi, Full HD, G Sensor, GPS, 16GB SD Card Included, upto 64GB support : Electronics

I have had two of their micro SD cards go bad. So now I immediately buy a 32 gb San Disk from Amazon and use that one and carry the 16 gb that comes with it as a spare.

Thanks for that info; one more question; Can a single unit be used in more than one car ? Or is the mounting hardware a limiting factor ?

Yes they can. I started out with one unit and was moving it between two cars. All you need is an extra mount that can be purchased on line and have both cars wired for it. It plugs in at the unit and slides out of the mount very easily.

Sorry to bring this tread back to life but how did you get the crests in the headrests? This looks great, all seats should have this from the factor IMO.

It was an option when I ordered the Boxster; Option Code XSC - Porsche Crest in Headrest, $210.
