Took engine out but don't know what these are...

Hi guys,

I had a job list to do on my 986 S so I tore the engine out, as you do. One of the jobs I was looking at was an oil leak from the left hand cam cover, once the engine was out the leak didn't appear from the cam cover but from a breather above it 'B'.

Should this have a pipe on it going somewhere not just to atmosphere or all over the engine.? Also the sensor 'A' doesn't have a connector going to it, should it.? What is it.? The one on the right side does.

Thanks for any help guys
