Jinx.. I am retired & will be glad to drive it from coast to coast for you. Free of charge. I will even pay for gas, food and lodging. I love old classic BMWs (& Porsches and so on).

I and several friends have had good luck with these folks:

About Us - Intercity Lines, Inc

If it is an M1 I will buy a truck and a trailer and tow it for you free of charge if you let me start it LOL. :D

Jinx is my other half. She the one with the money.
Anyway jinx is is off traveling and out of reach. I
get a call from a very large well known auction car
firm that her car is completed With the modifications
she requested. I know she had sold off a lot of her
belongings to purchase this antique automobile.
I knew she purchased it during the Monterey Car
Week 2014. Need to get the car (are you ready--
it's a 1938 Nash-Frazer-BMW to Pittsburgh.
She hopes to find a qualified driver and crew
To campaign it in the PVGP in the next year or so.

So it my and jinx's assistant job to get it
Home to Pittsburgh.

Sent a rate request to intercity and reliable

I have no pictures of the car. I know it's
Silver and originally had black interior which
Jinx wanted changed to red

If it is a very high end car (into six figures) I would look for advice / opinions from the local BMW Club or other people who have had similar vehicles shipped. Maybe another forum with / for commensurate valued cars could give you better insight to high end shipping. I had a BMW (R1200RT Bike) delivered last week from New Hampshire to the Midwest with what the shipping company (dealer lined them up) that referred to it as their "white glove service", it was strapped down to a pallet lol. Upon unloading the driver asked if I wanted "this", I asked what it was he said it was a cover that they're supposed to use on bikes but that they never do, geez. Luckily for me all was well but I know of others who've tried to save a buck in shipping and paid for it dearly. Good Luck........

Thanks Coreseller,

The auction company uses Reliable.
I don't know anything about them
Other than they advertise on the PCA
Website.

The one thing I do know is I Do Not
Want the car damaged. It would be
Ok if Jinx damaged it as it is hers.
Or if was damaged in a race.
But I fear I would expelled from
Her life.

She is a collector and loves "her things"

I have also heard good things about Reliable, never used them though. As you may or may not know they will likely take several detailed pics of the car prior to shipping and have a written report of the vehicle describing all / any flaws before it is loaded onto the transport. It may also be prudent to make sure to ask the carrier who is responsible for damages if they occur during shipment and do they have their policy in writing, clarity on this is important.

Life is always better when there is something on it's way to you, this is a different animal lol. Don't sweat it too much, these guys are more often than not very professional and do it every day.

If you are a PCA member, IIRC, there is at least one transport company that advertises in Panorama that specializes in high end cars

Maybe send Wayne Carini a message and ask who he uses for transport. He ships lots of high end cars all the time

During my extensive weekly experience with car transporters 2000-2003 Reliable was far & away the best.

To Chuck W.

Yes it is.
Jinx's is in a light silver
Thought I never seen it.
In her pictures of it.
Reminded me of Porsche
Artic silver.
Original interior was black.
She wanted something different
Had the interior refitted in a deep
Red leather.
The leather belts over the
Hood are were changed to
Match the interior.

I'll post pictures when it
Arrives home.
