reasons for the failure of hydraulic systems

Hey all! I’ve been hearing a lot many people complaining about the failure of hydraulic systems. But very few people know the reason behind the failure of hydraulic system. I got this information from an article of Rush Hydraulics. There are certain factors that deteriorate the life of hydraulic systems . Heat is one important factor. The heat generated by the hydraulic system must be properly handled. It must be seen that the oil temperature must not reach a point where it could damage the seals or valves. Make sure that the lubricant reservoir is of the proper size. Contamination due to poor filtering can damage the pump and result in blockages.Sometimes the oil does not move from the reservoir tank to the hydraulic system’s pump. This can cause metal erosion, damage of the pump and can cause metal erosion. Make sure that your hydraulic pump is free of all such troubles. You can extend the life of your hydraulic pump.
