Seat wire harness removal

Looking for some help, I have a 1998 Boxster Base and I am trying to remove the front seats for some leather work over the winter. I got the bolts out in 2 minutes, but have been struggling with the damn wire harness plug for over an hour. I'm sure there is some little trick I'm just not picking up on. I'm a fairly good wrench, hell I did my IMS bearing with no issues, but this plug is just kicking my ass. What am I missing?

Thanks

I just took seats out of my 03. If the connectors are the same on one end there is a sliding lock that goes thru the connector you have to pull it all the way out but not out of the connector. Took me 30 mins to figure it out
