I stumbled upon a mechanic in the shennandoah region - newhall mobileworks who will come to your home and work on your car or help with an ongoing project. He has a facebook page and specializes in Porsche. Talking to him, he seemed very knowledgeable and accommodating. His prices are low, you are charged for the exact time, and you are there to see the quality of work.

Johnathan is a great guy and a superb mechanic. I've known him as a wrench and and autocrosser for 4-5 years. His 454 powered Jag was a blast to watch, and I am looking forward to racing against his 914 this year.
