Sure hate this weather!

It's been in the 40s and the snow is trying to melt ; bad for the skiing, especially after we had 18" on the ground 2 weeks ago! But the good news is the roads have been dry and I've been driving the Boxster all around. Glad I decided on all season tires instead of snow tires. They work fine in cold/wet/thin snow conditions. When it's really bad I drive the truck, or the BMW 325 xi with Blizzaks. Even if I feel I can handle the conditions on the all season tires (Michelin A/S 3), I don't trust some of the other bozos out there. Twice I've had idiots slide off the street and hit my truck parked in my front yard 10' from the pavement!

Tried my new CTEK battery charger. I reconditioned (desulfate) 5 batteries, including the Exide Edge AGM in the Boxster, and it works great ! The only problem is that the "comfort connect" cable that stays on the battery is too short to go over to the edge of the battery cover and up out of the hood. I have to open the hood and remove the battery cover to hook it up. I think I'll call them and see if they have a longer one. I guess I could extend it but I hate to jury rig electrical stuff.

Yes, but not all that. Park City areas have been making it for a while now. Pretty much melted all around areas that are made snow. Canyons have snow but I haven't been up there since it started snowing.

We in lower mainland, BC have just made it through a hellish week of sub-freezing temps (even daytime highs!) and are now back to norm 12/6 C again.

Yeah, well...gas is $2.39/gallon here and dropping, so sit on that! :p

Yea, the weather sucks here as well. Its down to the 50's at night and we had a few days of rain last week
Otherwise its a boring mid 70's and sunny

Jamesp 12-08-2014 05:38 PM

It's been rough in Houston as well. Rained one day last week keeping the top up, and I nearly needed a jacket out on the deck after the sun went down this evening. Brutal.

Been unseasonably mild here for December. Was sunny and 70 degrees today, and the rest of the week is looking to be similar. At this rate I'll be wearing a Hawaiian shirt and sandals on Christmas day.
Of course a mild December usually means we'll get nailed in January.
