Factory Stereo Amplifier
 

Just to verify as I could only find one thread on this. If I only have Dash speakers and the speaker box behind seats, I should not have an amplifier correct? Ive looked in the front boot up and down and behind every panel and have found nothing. Ive also tried tracing the wire harness from the stock radio back behind the dash(passenger side) and cannot see anything resembling an amplifier.

The factory amp is mounted right behind the top part of the spare tire. If you have one, it is hard to miss.

Do you have door speakers? I believe some of the earliest Boxsters without door speakers also lacked an amp.
