Lapis Blue=Ocean Blue?
I have seen cars that look like mine that people are calling Lapis Blue. My car supposedly is Ocean Blue (L3AZ).
If my car truly is Ocean Blue, that would be the darkest ocean I've ever seen:confused: |
Two Different Colors
|
I think Lapis Blue debuted in 2002 or 2003. It was a $3,000 ish option.
|
Lapis Blue replaced Ocean Blue Metallic in 2000. They are very similar, but are still two different colors. Ocean Blue changes a lot based on the light, and can range from looking black to purple.
Colors by year: Boxster Paint code colours |
Lapis is a very dark blue...darker than ocean blue.

My car is ocean blue metallic...beautiful color! If it is very clean, it looks greenish in the light...if it is a little dirty, it looks almost black..kind of like a mood ring to tell me when she is angry becuase I have not washed her :)

2000S in Ocean Blue here... People comment on the color all the time; the only
downside is that it shows every spec of dust. http://986forum.com/forums/uploads01/5a1414924896.jpg |
2000S in Ocean Blue here... People comment on the color all the time; the only downside is that it
shows every spec of dust, and yes I agree with 'Ebell914' in the shade it's almost black and in direct sun it has greens and almost looks purple sometimes. http://986forum.com/forums/uploads01/5a1414924896.jpg http://986forum.com/forums/uploads01...1414925520.jpg |
