Sport Chrono clock

Just had the idea to add a sport chrono clock from a 997 onto my dash... Maybe even try to make it function as a clock(probably not stopwatch) Looks like I should be able to just attach the pod to the top of the dash with some modification to the dash. Anyone ever done this in a 986?

its digital - designed to plug into the ecu. ie, not just a matter of putting power to it. there is a thread on 6 speed about someone who installed the pod on his car, but he put a plx multigauge into it (it';; fit any 2-1/16" gauge).
