How to remove the boxster lettering
 

I would like to remove Boxster lettering. How do you do it? Do you need a tool? I I do not want to leave scrape marks.

I have read posts that people remove the badge with dental floss and then clean-up the sticky residue with a little cleaner that won't harm the finish, and then complete the job with a good polish and waxing on the trunk lid.

I simply ordered my 987S from the factory without the badging...and Porsche is kind enough not to charge for that "option". Imagine that...from Porsche!! :)

I haven't done it. But I've read that some folks tried dental floss to remove it.

porscheracer, go to the search function in the tool-bar and enter the word "floss". You will see some good postings about your question.

I have not seen the WD-40 recommendation, and would not use it...sounds too messy.

I used 4-Star paint cleanser (which is supposed to work at removing bugs and grime from the front bumper, etc.) It worked great.

Use dental floss to break thru the glue, then clean off the residue with 3M adhesive remove and imperial hand glaze. I would not use wd40.

Went to a local body shop today and asked them how they would do it. He started rambling off their process but half way through said, "heck, we'll just do it for you". Free of charge!!! Took them about 15 minutes and it was perfect. Guess they figured it took longer to tell me about it than to just do it.
