Unhappy Strange Problem! Any Experience with this?

So on Saturday I had the weirdest thing happen. We were autocrossing my 2000 Boxster S, but with 3 drivers taking turns driving the car, so it was running practically all day. Then before the last run of the day I start it and smoke comes out the exhaust (both water and oil) so immediately I think blown head gasket of that sort, I buy coolant and oil and decide to try to drive home after topping all the fluids off (which were only slightly low). However on the way home the car stops smoking, and looses no fluids. After driving for another 2 days no smoke, no fluid loss. I checked the temperature the entire time we were racing it and the temperature was stable for the most part, didn't get close to overheating. I'm so confused at this point did it fix itself?! Has any body had this problem or know what it could be? :ah:
