PCM phone module repair?

My local Porsche dealer explained that my PCM was not allowing bluetooth connection to my phone or iPhone because the phone module was broken. They kindly offered to repair for $1400. I'm thinking there might be cheaper route... anyone know of otters who can do such a repair?

Thanks, Dave

Which iOS? iOS 8 has had a problem with car Bluetooth systems. The update released today (October 20) is supposed to fix that.
