Porsche Palooza now has over 200 Porsche mobiles registered! Yessssssss
|
As of this post, 216 Porsches registered for the event, with the 986 Boxster being the second most popular model entered.
Almost 400 people attending the Palooza Fest the night before, and over 70 Porsches signed up for the "War Eagle" drive the next day. Absolutely awesome! :) Weather report looks good; looking forward to a GREAT weekend. Maybe some vestiges of the fall foliage will be somewhat brilliant as we blur along the backroads. TO |

PCA Palooza | Annual Porsche Gathering in Eureka Springs, Arkansas TO |
Saturday is only the last day for online registrations. You can still register in person at the event any day starting Friday 11/7. We have a fun event planned this year with a longer route of over 100 miles for the King's River drive as well as some other surprises.

Here at the Palooza now, in our lodge room getting ready for the banquet tonight.
Had a fantastic "spirited drive" this morning, on perfect, and I mean perfect, billiard table smooth roads through the hilly twisties of NW Arkansas. This area has got to be the best kept secret in the Mid-South as far as driving venues. Fall foliage was still evident, but somewhat subdued. Still nice to see the myriad of fall colors, though. Great time, great people. Some pics later. TO |
Put 17 miles on the Boxster after an oil change on Monday, then 935 miles on her this weekend, after our trip to Eureka Springs, which included a spectacular drive on Saturday.
I hereby retract my previous statement that Eureka Springs is the best kept secret in the Mid-South. Seems that several car enthusiast groups hold events here, i.e Corvette, Miata, Jeep, Scion, bikers, etc. There's plenty of lodging to accommodate drivers/bikers, and the local LEOs are more than understanding towards visitors. And the roads are nothing short of fantastic. They actually invite the driver to drive quickly. As promised, some pics: http://986forum.com/forums/uploads01...1415595123.jpg The view from our room. http://986forum.com/forums/uploads01...1415595193.jpg First group off for the Saturday drive. http://986forum.com/forums/uploads01...1415595258.jpg Rest stop for our group at the State Park. http://986forum.com/forums/uploads01...1415595331.jpg Breakfast stop. A '69 912, '66 912, and '54 356. All pristine and being driven hard. http://986forum.com/forums/uploads01/993s1415595499.jpg Row of 993s at the Show 'n Shine. Outstanding weekend with great weather. If you can swing by next November, it's definitely worth the trip! TO |
Glad you made it back safe and had a great time! Perfect weather! Thanks for the pics. Hopefully I can make it next year.
