Window won't go up and instrument cluster lights went out.

My driver's side window has been sticking slightly when opening and closing the door., not quite clearing the top...I have had to almost guide into place a few times lately. Now the window won't roll up and the instrument cluster with tach, speedometer and gas gauge is no longer illuminated. The CD player does not seem to work yet the radio does.

Any help sussing out the culprit would be most appreciated.

Should I be looking at a fuse?

Thanks

For 2001,

Fuse B6 and C3 and D1 are power windows.
Fuse A5 is instrument lights.

It sounds like 2 different issues.

The window not clearing the weather strip at top when opening and closing the door is a regulator issue. needs replacing.

Second issue sounds like your battery died.

It has a brand new Interstate battery...less than three weeks old and starts right up no problem. Going to check the fuses suggested. Left window opens and retracts fine so I doubt it is C3 but I'll check. thanks

If i remember correctly, all those issues present themselves simultaneously when your ignition switch starts to go bad.

if replacing your ignition switch doesnt correct the window issue, its likely your micro switch in that door is become unclipped from its factory mounting point behind the outside door handle or the switch is worn out.

To test the microswitch, while your door is closed, lift the outside door handle and the window should drop automatically (1/4 of and inch give or take) just as/before the door is about to open.
if you dont get that drop, its your micro switch.
