Passenger Door Leak - Strange One

First time of having the Boxster sit in the rain all day. :(

Evening comes and my passenger notes there's water in the car. When I get home, it turns out that the small tray, on the passenger side, next to the door by the sill is filled with about an inch of water. Nothing else is wet. At least as the floor goes. Upon further inspection, the carpet below the speaker in the door is soaking wet....only beneath. No place else.

Thing is....dry everywhere else.

Any ideas on the source of the leak?

There is a plastic / rubber membrane sealing around the inner door cavity. If this membrane is damaged or the adhesive has pulled away from the door skin, rainwater can penetrate and fill the cabin.
If you remove the door card you should be able to reseal the membrane with silicon sealer or buy a new one from Porsche.

Cool. Thanks for that. I'll check it out.
