Sept 20th - National Drive Your Porsche Day!

Don't forget that Sept. 19th (sorry for typo in title) is Ferry Porsche's birthday which is celebrated as National Drive Your Porsche Day.

Get out there and drive it like you stole it!

Great! The wife and I will have to do our "around the block" 100 mile, fall colors drive through the Snake River Canyon and around Palisades Reservoir. It also goes over Pine Creek Pass and Teton Pass. Lots of twisties ;)! Happy Birthday Ferdinand !! I'll try to take a pic or 2.

Sounds like a good way to get the weekend started.

I wish I had some twisties down here in north central FL. Up in NC there were plenty...

C'mon! I just put mine in the shop for an extended stay with suspension replacement. Now I have to tell the shop, "Mach Schnell! Ich brauche mein Auto am 19. September!"

I celebrate his birthday with a drive every day.

Here's grandson Hans Peter admiring my Cayman.

It's drive your Porsche day, not St Patricks day. Lol

I think having anyone from the Porsche family posing next to your car is awesome.

Maybe you should have asked him for a signature(on your car?). They usually do. I have his signature from Parade 2012 in SLC

This better be blown up and put over your bed.

Nope, this is...

And I wasn't around when the HPP pic was taken. This was Mon at the Concours and I must have been off looking at cars. I got an email 2 wks after Parade from someone I didn't know. Debated about opening the email. The pic was attached. Glad I took the chance and opened it.

I did see HPP the day after the Concours. A group of around 100 Porsches had done a drive down PCH and were having lunch at Ragged Point. HPP was there. I wanted to have my picture taken with him by my car, but it was parked a ways from where he was. Never thought I'd have him standing next to her.

Or at least in the man cave/garage. Very Cool Husker!

Thanks Jake.

HPP sure has a big grin on his face in the IG pic. Maybe he could have helped get me a few more pts from the judges in the Concour.

I'd say my Porsche got "driven" on Sept 20th. This is the result.

Such a sad day.

I knew there was a reason I live in NC instead of florida. I thought every day was "drive your Porsche day".
