Eisen IMS settlement

Any new info here? I skimmed the settlement... seems like a pretty poor deal for porsche owners, especially if you bought used or have a MY 2003 or earlier.

poor deal? Well excellent for Porsche I concur, a pittance for such a profitable company.

But calling it poor for the exisiting owners? What other boutique high end car manufacturer ever compensated second hand buyers some 9-13 years after the factory warranty expired? I'm amazed they offered even a dime.

A LN IMSB is $650 plus the labor to install at about 8 hours. Labor rates will vary. Often you end up doing the clutch since you are already in there so add the cost of those parts.

Too bad nobody died I guess, then these bearings would have been recalled. Since they just essentially leave you with a near worthless Porsche roller, it's not worthy of making the poor design / bearing choice right I guess. It's just cash.
