Crankshaft Position Sensor (CPS) Replacement

Gents,
The Bentley let me down... "Pop off the rear wheel" it says, accompanies by pictures of an engine that can't possibly be inside a car! lol...

How are you supposed to get to this thing the right way. Is it from up top or down low? Doesn't look like jacking up one side with wheel off is enough clearance even to "reach up in there"...

what am i missing?

It is in there - you do have to come in from the side. Once you have the tire off, find the electrical connector and trace the wire to the CPS as it attaches to the motor. That was the only way I found mine. Once you know where it is connect up about 18 inches of extensions for your rachet. Then be sure to press that socket tight into the bolt holding it on. You do not want to strip it.
