Puddle in front of front right wheel
 

Hi All,

My temperature gauge light began to flash this evening, even though the temp stayed at normal levels. When I got out of the car I noticed drips coming from the body of the car just in front of the front right wheel. I assume that this is a coolant leak, but is this not a strange area for the leak to be?

you should have a small radiator located there bhind the front bumper(and same for the other side and also a third small one in the middle if you have an S) A ripped radiator hose or a loose hose clamp may be a suspect. my .02

Scraped any curbs lately?
You have 2 radiators behind the front bumper.

Not hit any curbs, but I do remember thinking that something front he road hit the underside of the car a few days back. Should the are in front of the wheel have some sort of cover on it? It looks to me like there is a piece missing on the underside.

Its common to run over junk in the road and tear off some or all of of the underside covers. Scraping the front end on parking blocks will do the same. Do it several times hard enough and its common to crack the radiator where the hose attaches.

Living in Dublin (Ireland I assume), corrosion of both the coolant and A/C rads is very common.....
You have 2 rads each side just behind the front bumper. Check your coolant reservoir level too.

Coolant reservoir looks like its almost empty, I think ill put it up on the back of a truck and bring it to my indy tomorrow. Thanks guys.

The 2 radiators and especially their supports are crap.
If you hit a curb then a lot of force is put on the very flimsy bottom support of the radiator. This force gets transmitted to the midpoint support point of the radiator. This midpoint support is plastic and is part of the plastic flow manifold of the radiator. The support point will get a crack at its base and you have nice leak.
Luckily the radiators are not that expensive (~$200 at FPC) and relatively easy to replace.
