Drove some Backroads in Arkansas

Explored some lovely backroads in Arkansas this weekend - albeit without a boxster.

Plano TX - Bentonville/Rogers (Hwy 75, 40, 49) - Crystal Bridges Museum
Bentonville/Rogers - Eureka Springs (Hwy 62) - Lovely Alpine Town
Eureka Springs - Bentonville/Rogers - (Hwy 123, 127, 12)
Bentonville/Rogers - Buffalo River - (Hwy 412, 14) - Awesome Kayak/Canoe/Tubing
Buffalo River - Marshall AR - Conway (Hwy 14, 65) - Nice surface - quick drop in altitude
Conway - Plano TX (Hwy 40, 30) - Nothing to see here - just reach home!

Excellent Tarmac and lovely curves - specially the Hwy 62 to Eureka Springs and Back.

A total of 1000 Miles in 2 days - Peace!

You are gonna LOVE Porsche Palooza then. Sponsored by the PCA Cimarron region, it features great autumn drives through the foliage of Arkansas. Here's some pics from last year's event.

This year's Palooza is being held the second weekend of November, November 7-9. Registration is not open yet, so you may want to bookmark the website.

PCA Palooza is actually a joint production of the Cimarron, Ozark, and White River regions. I've been going since 2009 and it is always a blast with great drives, excellent sponsor support, and of course great Porsche people. Definitely not to be missed if you can make the drive. Here's a link to the 2013 website PCA Palooza 2013 - Official Website

P.S. the next time you come up from the DFW area drop me a PM and we'll go hit AR23 aka "the Pig Trail" through the south end of the Ozark National Forest. Once of those "must drive" roads.

You know the rule. No pics = It never happened.

Wish I could post pics - But did not take the Boxster - Had wifey and son - So it had to be a Volvo (let the barrage of -ve responses begin!) - But hey, I enjoyed the ride! And thanks for the info on the other events - looks like I need to find a way to go without kids!
