Repair shops in Edmonton and Calgary....

Who does the best and reasonably priced Porsche (Boxster) repairs in Edmonton and Calgary besides Eurasia in Edmonton and Porsche? Anybody have experiences with major repairs in either cities?
Thanks, Guy.
PS Anybody hear anything about Sandy Lane Auto in Edmonton?

i can't help you as i use eurasia (and acknowledge that you have to treat them like a rented mule to make sure things get done right). i think there is a good shop in calgary but can't recall the name. a good place to check would be the rennlist regional forum for canada - it's relatively active and can get you canada-specific info quite quickly.

i might have the 3.2 and 6-speed out of my car and for sale this winter if interested (getting it to edmonton is no big deal) but the cost would be the same or more as the rebuild of your engine once purchase and install are factored in.

good luck - don't give up on your car.

Here's a link to my indy in Calgary.

Alpine Autowerks

The owner's name is Marc Boulanger, he is certified by LNE to do their IMSB retrofits and is a very knowledgable Porsche man.

I've used him for regular maintenance and he has been very good to deal with.

Good luck!

I found these guys in Edmonton.

AM German Automotive Services Edmonton | German Car Specialist Edmonton | European Car Specialist Edmonton

I talked to them on the phone and they seem ok. I'll be using them later this summer
I believe rates were less than $100/hr.

Correction: He may be a preferred installer, but he is not a Certified Installer.

The only two Certified Installers in Canada are Auto Benny and Juan's Auto Service.

There's a HUGE difference in being Certified and being a preferred installer. Certified Installers receive specific training and must pass an evaluation. To become a Certified Installer a shop must first be invited to the program.

Preferred installers just pay a fee to LN to have their name listed as an advertisement.

I stand corrected, thanks Jake :).
