Leaf blower.. use it.
I was washing the car at this fairly decent DIY car wash place along the highway. They had one of those hoses that blows air to dry your car. Some people use leaf blowers at home which is the best way to dry. So I stuck the blower inside the front bumper vents and sure enough a huge pile of dried up leaves came flowing out. That stuff can really start to accumulate over time. Beats having to remove the bumper. A good practice to follow when you wash.

I use the leaf blower all the time to dry my car after washing it... takes seconds and gets rid of all the pooled water inside the mirrors and other little cracks that tends to come out the minute you drive off. As far as the rad cleaning goes I would take the time to take it apart so you can get the stuff in between the two rads, the leaf blower wont get that stuff out - but it is a good way to get the upfront stuff out :-)

I cleaned my radiators last fall but thats something you can do in between service. Already use it to blow the leaves out the garage. Will try that next time.

You can beat your dog. You can beat the heat. But, you can't beat a good blow job. Dries the car very efficiently.

My neighbour looks at me like I have 2 heads. I just say, "When I was growin' up, this is how everyone in Bloomingdale swept the garage." |
I got one the other day
Less than $40 at Home Depot or lowes Works great. Now when I wash my wheels, I can blow out all the water and not get yucky drips from the inside of the rotors |

This first came to my attention when I saw that dedicated "car dryers" were being marketed as such.
Air ForceŽ BlasterŽ CarDryers | cardryer.com Shyeah, right.........I already do my own lawn work, so I may as well utilize my leaf blower as a "car dryer". TO |
I spend more on the dry process than wash. The car wash has the blowers that are heated. Makes it spotless after the wax & spot free rinse.
