'03 door on a '97?

Can I fit a door from an '03 to my '97?

The door is just a bare shell. Mine has very slight damage and I would prefer to replace the door than have paint work done.

I have found a door in the correct colour from an '03 car and would like to move all the parts from my existing door across. Not sure if any changes were made over the years to the core shell.

Also, how hard is it to move all the parts across - door card, window and mechanism, handle and lock etc?

Thanks.

It should be a direct swap, just leave out the airbag (if yours is not equipped). Aside from that there shouldn't be any issues as far as I can tell.

The 97 had a locking actuator mechanism that was different from the 98-04 models. Hopefully, the four screws that hold it in will align with the new door.

Yeah - am aware of that and it is indeed one reason why I had doubts whether a newer door would be a straight swap...
