Oil leak on top of engine, by oil cooler
I was changing out my 2002 986 starter today, and discovered oil on top the engine by the oil cooler. Has anyone experienced this issue before?
I am trying to figure out where the leak could have originated from but not having any luck. |
I had multiple oil leaks from my spark plug tubes. It's tough to figure out where the oil is coming from due to the airflow. Check the tubes.

oil or power steering fluid?
|
Look forward of the oil cooler. I had an AOS that was putting oil into the manifold and it was mainly draining out of the balance tube butterfly valve and landing on the left front / left center of the engine.

I checked the fluid, it is motor oil. At first I thought it was pentosin, but after using paper towel to absorb it... it was definitely motor oil.
