Bose Upgrade

When I bought the car (2004 986S) it had the Bose option, unfortunately it had the CDR23 as well & options were limited with regard to Bluetooth/iPod etc so I decided to replace with a Pioneer AVH-X5600BT, I also added the F250 nav option, both fitted nicely with the Eurospeed facia kit.

One thing I wanted to do was replace the amp also so I bought a JBL5355 this allowed me 3 RCA inputs from the head unit & used inbuilt filters.

This I fitted last weekend but noticed the existing dash speakers lacking & had a slight blow on the Bose rear shelf.

I ordered & fitted Alpine SPG-C102's with a kit from JMG, I also did a bit of reading & read about replacing the rear subs with Morel CAW-538's.

Finished it this weekend & I am made up with the improvement, the sub's give a nice punchy precise sound & the alpines are a dramatic improvement over the standard dash speakers.

I've attached a couple of pics of the Morel install.
