Evil Genious...

One of several terms that came to mind for the designers as I remove the transmission from my '01 tiptronic today.
I used to think I worked on cars because its fun. Now I realize its more the feeling of accomplishment when I get to drive it. I hope I get to drive this one....

That one is a "Stanley Professional" #86-201. Best 3/8 inch drive I ever had; for those times when you need an extra elbow or wrist in the middle of your arm. They don't seem to be available anywhere now, but for a similar one look for:
"3/8 drive bent flex head ratchet".

Now the engine and transmission have been out for a few hours, the smell of spilled fuel is fading, and I've had some beer. I'm thinking that it wasn't really all that bad. I swear there were a few hoses and wires that weren't in the manual.

I just couldn't let this most excellent post possibly go unnoticed. I just had to revive it and let the holiday cheer be enjoyed thru this "genious" post. Enjoy and Happy Thanksgiving

Remember, the car wasn't designed to be simple to work on.. The faster the car assembles, the bigger the bottom line figure is per car.

When accountants design something, its far from Evil Genius.
