Replacement Fire Extinguisher

I'm not sure if this mount is Porsche specific or not - I'm looking to replace my fire extinguisher. The cylinder part is 10.5" x 3". I got a quote of $108 to recharge it with 3lbs of halon....curious if I have any cheaper options. Anybody else running this type of mount?

Halon or its replacement Halotron are good stuff and if you ever have to use it leave very little residue behind to clean up vs. traditional dry powder type. Dry powder type are cheaper no doubt about it but they leave a crazy mess to clean up. $108.00 for effective fire fighting that may potentially save your car or someones life is relatively cheap don't you think ?

if your car sets on fire you have a mess to clean up anyway :D

Just replace it .

I'm hoping I never have to use them , but in all honesty I'd probably just get out and call the insurance company ....

Guys - post up some mounting ideas (not to jack the thread) - where have you found a good place to put these?

Thanks for the Google link. I have other fire extinguishers but they won't fit - it needs to be specifically the same size. So that's why I'm curious if anybody else was running this mount. Perhaps it was a common mount that was purchased from Pelican or SunCoast back in the day.

Did you try the autozone one yet ?
You could try it outside the store and return it if it doesn't fit .
Ignore the 5" width on my earlier link , that includes the handle that sticks out a couple of inches :)

Dilerium , have a look at the bray-Krause seat mount for a good place to install an extinguisher
