Wet Frunk after service
 

So i just had my car serviced yesterday where they replaced my spark plugs, changed the brake fluid, did an oil and filter change. Today i went to pull my car cover out of my frank and noticed it was kind of wet. I had put some empty drink bottles in the frank too and thought maybe there was a bottle that leaked. But after taking everything out of the frunk the carpet is definitely wet. I pulled out the carpet to help whatever spilled evaporate and it defiantly had an alcohol type smell to it that was somewhat sweet smelling. The majority of the wetness was on the right side where the two pieces of carpet meet. Also i wiped some up with a paper towel and saw some of the paint came off the inside of the frank floor from the fluid. Do you think they put too much windshield washer fluid in or maybe is it break fluid which i don't have much experience identifying:confused:. If it evaporates will that be fine or do i need to wash in there. I didn't see any fluid near either of the caps for the brakes or washer fluid. Thanks

Sounds like brake fluid to me...Who did your service?

sounds like brake fluid was spilled. Open the brake fluid reservoir and see if it has the same smell and feel
I would clean it out ASAP as it will eat the paint
Document it and save the paper towels you uses to blot it up and take it to the service place along with a quotation to repaint the frunk and replace the carpet.

I agree with the others that it is likely brake fluid based on the fact that paint is coming off. Brake fluid will strip paint right off.
