Finally, my new toy arrived!

Don't worry, my '01 S will always have a space in my garage! It's been retired from autocross/DE duty for a while now, but makes for the perfect daily driver here in Northern California.

I have been looking for the right 996TT since Christmas. Finally found one at the end of April. Took until Tuesday to get the deal finalized and the car shipped out. Obviously, I'm more than a little biased, but I think she's a beauty!
'02 996 TT. 27k miles.
Factory Turbo Aero Kit,
FVD Brombacher ECU upgrade w/ programmer,
B&M short shifter,
EVO billet shift linkage,
Rennline front bumper mesh grill inserts,
Rennline aluminum pedals,
Porsche power comfort seats,
full leather interior,
Alpine IDA-X305 headunit

I took a few of my colleagues out for a spin and they were all impressed at how good it looks inside and out, especially considering it's a 12 1/2 year old vehicle.
They all said the power is just outrageous and push in the chest you get at WOT is amazing. I even managed to make one of them squeal a little when I did a 0-70-0 run

I'm super stoked! Took a bit of a risk buying the car sight unseen with only a bunch of pictures, a PPI and a discussion with the local Porsche Shop Manager, but so far it has exceeded ALL my expectations.

Now I can really get down to lavishing some TLC on the Box. She desperately needs a complete brake overhaul. New pads, rotors, brake lines (braided), pad springs and pins. I'm also going to have the calipers professionally refinished as they are showing the effects of 7 years of DE's and autocrosses!
Then it's new headlights, LED taillights and an LED third brake light. I'm going to document the changes for my own pleasure, but I'll be sure to bore you all to death with the details too

I'll have all my DE/autocross equipment and track trailer up for sale soon.

Wow thats nice. congrats on snagging such a fine work of art.

I guess some good karma returned to you after all your trials and tribulations.

Now you will have enough power to get yourself into some serious trouble. Better take it easy in the twisties till you get used to it...it isnt a 986 and your not in Kansas any more.

Congratulations! You hit the sweet spot! The 996TT's are incredible cars.

What kind of power do you have with the ECU tune? Care to share the approx. price?

Gorgeous car! Probably my favorite of the water-cooled turbo's! Any future plans for it? Bigger turbos, more power?

The tuning company says power is 485 on 91 octane and "more" on race gas!

Haven't had much of a chance to find some good twisties, but just driving around town, you can really feel the "road hugging" weight. I can also feel the thing has mega grip. Haven't seen the PSM light yet

Looks great, now just put the motor In a 986 :P Joking aside It looks amazingly well aged, I can not fathom the attitude most have against the 996.
