Hi ^_^
I have a 2003 986S with 84k miles. Lately I have been noticing an intermittent very low pitch ringing noise when I accelerate or when the car is in neutral idling. The sound seems to increase in frequency a little bit when during accelerating but not by much...
I've read other topics on this forum indicating this can be the clutch pilot bearing. So when I press the clutch the sound goes away completely. However today I noticed I do not have to press on the clutch all the away to stop the noise. I only have to press it in about 1/2 an inch! Before any clutch engagement is done. Is the pilot bearing still toast if this is the case?
Anyone have a similar symptom in the past?
Any tips or ideas would be greatly appreciated =^_^=
