Central locking switch not working

Well, first problem with my Boxster S is the locking switch. It is not working, and I talked to a shop and they said that's why my key stopped having remote control. How do I replace this switch? I don't know how to pop the panel off. The shop people said it might be just loose.

So no door ajar symptoms? That switch is likely just a momentary contact switch. Can't imagine how that would stop the key remote from working.
