Summer Road Trip

Getting Ready for the Leavenworth Drive in Washington June 14th and then I think I might cruise down for Parade. Anybody know of any good sights to see while down there? I have not been to cali since i was little. Also looking for a good radar / laser detector, driving cruise control right on the speed limit is a little boring :(

anybody else heading down for those events?

Also if any of you use Facebook would you mind going to the link and clicking vote for my fiancee and myself ( the two beside the boxster ;) )

Sounds like a great trip, I'm jealous! I've been using the Escort 8500 for the past couple of years with good results, no tickets so far:eek: knock on wood! I also have the smart chord which hooks up to either an iPhone or android phone via Bluetooth, which uses a social networking type of thing, allowing you and others to report police locations. I wired mine so that the detector is mounted to the visor and I use my iPad mini as the display. The whole thing works very well IMO.

that sounds like a good system, I think I am going to have to buy one of those cigarette lighter multipliers haha

The Escort smart chord cigarette plug has an extra USB port on it for charging whatever.

I use the Bel 300 and it works well on the dash next to the security Led flasher.

Its really a question of how much you want to pay.

It might be nice to have the GPS equiped units that have the extra stoplight camera and speed trap locations, but I have not found them necessary.

I know the detector has paid for itself many times over in the last 2 years so I would not hesitate to pay even more for what you feel you need.
