ECU reset

Hi guys,

My car has been having codes P1128, P1130 for a few months. I have determined that there were two air leaks, and fixed them. Now, does the car need to be reset so that it knows that it's in a "better" state now? If it does, how do I do it besides disconnecting the battery or using the Porsche scanner?

Thanks

Ideally, you never want to disconnect the battery to clear codes as there may be others, pending or active, that you would not know about until they reappear. Always rescan the car after it is fixed to see where you stand, then clear the codes. That way nothing is lost.

And, if you have actually fixed the problem, the car should clear the codes all by itself.
