Changing leather color?

Is it possible to change the color of interior items (from tan to black) without too much trouble? Has anyone done it? There are some pieces I was looking to upgrade in the interior and I was having a hard time finding a good price on the pieces in the color I was needing. If a color change is possible...just how much work is involved?

I did it. Ordered the kit from Leathermagic Leather Refinishing Kit | Dye, Painting, Recoloring & Restoration | Stain for Furniture, Automotive and Other Uses.

It's a good idea to order an extra 8oz bottle of dye. I used a fair amount on the first seat and didn't have enough to finish the second. I could've stretched the dye for both but I liked the look after an extra coat of dye.
