Aftermarket Lug Bolts

Has anyone had any experience, or thought about these bolts, or similar?

Actually these with ball seating are closer to the stock bolts.

Seems really cheap. Curious to see what folks have to say.

No can do on both options. They are made here and of cast metal - careful. If they are indeed the ones that are everywhere for sale here at $0.25 each anyway.

You need to find those lug with a "floating" radius size 14 ball. Hundred times safer. Aftermarket are fine but again make sure they are the same as the machined OEM bolts. This floating ball ensures the lug is properly sitting on the wheel (self-centering) when tighten. If not, your wheel(s) may simply crack

Cheap yea but too much of a risk imo

If you are going to go third party look for lug bolts with rolled threads instead of cut threads. These wont be cheap, but you get what you pay for. You'll get a better surface finish on the threads and higher tensile strength due to the resulting grain structure.

I cant see the pictures of the lugnut bolts you posted so I cant say anything about them, but 2 weeks ago while getting new tires (BFG G force comp2's)I bought new lugnut bolts off ebay. They are chromed and have a smaller head, but have the same pitch 14 x 1.5. They have the ball seating, but dont rotate. They appear to fit fine and look alot better than The OEM ones on my 18" black Victor Lemans wheels. Before installing them I took them to several tires stores to make sure they were OK to use and both shops didnt see any problem with using them. I paid 40 bucks for them (new) and included 4 locking ones with a key.........

"May" be fine for street use, but I sure as heck wouldn't take them on a track.

Glad I read this. So where in the US is a good place to find a set of lug bolts with the floating ball? Looking for a set of chrome or black.

Thanks!

Ecs tuning sells black sets and so does Suncoast Porsche and I imagine pelican
I bought 4 Febi bolts off amazon to replace my locking bolts, albeit silver, so that may be a resource as well.

Those are nice, but I want to buy from a US location. I did find a nice set of standard length chrome lugs from your link, but they would be over $100 with shipping.

Ahhh you are too late mate ;)

Some funny story for you... designed and manufactured those back in spring of 2014. I've been 'given' meters of OD30mm rods of titanium by a friend and just didn't know what to do with it. So I made silly bolts out of it

Made 140 during a weekend. Titanium was Ti6Al4V and the R14 floating ball was machined out of AL7075. The Ultimate Lug Bolts for performance car they are... the ball's 7075 was just soft enough to snug on those $10,000 wheels without damaging them. Dropped by the circuit during the monthly car track day with my bolts (lol)and poof, SOLD OUT in 60 min to the 911/GT2/3 guys there.... 140 bolts, 7 kits.

Made In China, $9.95 lollll

There is a guy selling pretty solid bolts made out of 304 on eBay. Not "ultra" light like those TI bolts but, solid anyhow. Good for life....
