Finally raining in LA. This appears to be a universal truth;

This happens in NorCal also!

Darn rain... I couldn't put my top down today.

Porsche9 03-01-2014 08:27 PM

Yeah, I know what you mean. But the rain goes away while the snow stays. Another 6-12 inches tonight. :(

Raining in NorCal, what a rip off, can even take my car out of the garage this weekend. Okay okay, we need the rain I know, but dang this has been one awesome winter, in fact since November he could be more accurately called "early Spring".

I laugh at your rain! Here in the North getting ready to practice my mid engine drifting skills:ah:

How do y'all guys determine the braking distance when driving in the rain?

jotoole 03-03-2014 03:20 PM

I don't get it.
Why so many folks won't drive their Boxsters in the rain.
Wouldn't own a car that can't handle rain, with aplomb.

jotoole 03-03-2014 03:31 PM

Or a pair of running shoes, either, for that matter.

jmatta 03-03-2014 04:14 PM

Rain sounds good...even 32 degrees sounds good for northern Illinois. Over seventy inches thus far this winter...

+1! Heck, I remember driving in Palm Springs during partial flood 8-9 years ago with good standing water in the freeway and streets, and I am the only one going 70+ mph on the freeway safely and stabley (no hydroplaning)! All the crap suvs were slipping and sliding:p I really couldn't figure that one out, but that's Porsche engineering for you.

I did the EVO driving school (advanced course) in the most ridiculous rain I have ever been in still to this day. I was so sure they were going to cancel it... you could not see more than six feet in front of you. As soon as i get ther the guy says "Hey you're late! "
Man that was fun.
But on the highway and street in the rain I take it easy...

You answered yourself!

^LOL! Thanks man.

Lobo1186 03-08-2014 05:37 AM

My car definitely can get a little sporty in the rain. That could be however because my tires' tread are approaching the twilight miles...

since you are missing the point, you won't understand it. "Keep moving, nothing to see here"

In the NW we generally stop before we hit the car in front of us. Generally.
